Bosch Climate Friendly Activities 

Being "green" is more than just a good idea.  It's a responsible way of doing business.  Bosch is committed to developing energy-efficient products and technologies in the renewable and clean energy space, and in reducing the company's carbon footprint through measures aimed at decreasing the amount of energy we consume.

  • Bosch clean diesel helps vehicles achieve 30% better fuel economy and up to 25% lower carbon dioxide emissions
  • Bosch gasoline direct injection helps vehicles achieve 15% better fuel economy; a gasoline hybrid reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 25%
  • Bosch is the only US manufacturer with the ENERGY STAR qualification on all of its models in the refrigeration, washer and dishwasher categories
  • Bosch Aquastar tankless hot water heaters provide up to 50% energy savings
Bosch Renewable Energy 

Renewable Energy

  • By 2015, Bosch Rexroth will invest $450 million in wind power, expanding production capabilities
  • Bosch Rexroth technology is developing wave energy capabilities, and operates the first prototypes for winning current and wave energy.
  • Bosch residential heat pump systems provide heating and cooling from geothermal sources.  Ground source heat pumps use 75% renewable energy and save up to 50% running costs compared to oil boiler
  • Bosch develops components for CNG-driven vehicles and our FlexFuel engine management system, allowing vehicles to run on ethanol
  • Bosch is supplying electric heat pump, solar thermal system, photovoltaic system and appliances for EcoPlus Home in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada
